Just small things that flip the script.   This Week 🍬 Training Treats 🌪️ Storm Hit Shelters 🐶 Take Your Dogs With You ☕ Drink Coffee 🚫 Ban Animal Abusers 👅 Lick Mats   Does your dog get tired of the same old training treats? Switch things up by making homemade treats tailored to your dog's taste!   What To Do: Make homemade training treats with delicious ingredients like salmon, bananas, coconut, peanut butter, and more.  Mid-May, areas of Kentucky and Missouri experienced severe thunderstorms, deadly tornadoes, and flooding that displaced many residents and their pets. More storms are expected to hit the region, and local rescue groups are requesting support.   What To Do: Donate to the Kentucky Humane Society and/or the Humane Society of Missouri to support relief efforts, emergency veterinary care, and safe housing for pets affected by the storms.  BringFido is a website and app that helps you find dog-friendly restaurants, hotels, activities, and more. BringFido can even help you book dog-friendly events and stays at lower rates.    What To Do: Browse BringFido to find dog-friendly activities and destinations, or download the app from the Apple Store or Google Play Store. One survivor, Buddy, came home emaciated and soaked in filth. The woman responsible faces felony charges—but that's not enough. What to do: Sign the Petition  to demand a lifetime animal ban and mandatory psychological evaluation. No animal should ever suffer like this again. Make your dog's favorite treats last longer and give them an enriching sensory experience by adding them to lick mats.    What To Do: Blend or mix your dog's favorite treats with yogurt, wet food, bone broth, or other dog-safe liquids, then spread them onto a lick mat. Freeze the lick mat to make the experience last longer! Why It Works: Lick mats make dogs eat slower, making the treats last longer, and stimulate your dog's sense of taste and touch. While we hope you never have to use it, being prepared with a canine first aid kit can help protect your dog in case of an injury.    What To Do: Buy a canine first aid kit or build your own for use at home, on outdoor adventures, or traveling.
