The white-headed stilt (Himantopus leucocephalus) is a bird in the family Recurvirostridae. Sometimes considered a subspecies of the black-winged stilt, this shorebird feeds on aquatic insects and on small molluscs in shallow water. It is resident in southern Sumatra, Java, Sulawesi, and most of Australia and New Zealand.
