Jumping in leaves is fun—but risky. Hidden sticks, rocks, and bugs can injure your pup, and damp piles breed mold, bacteria, and ticks.   What to Do: Skip leaf piles when you can. If your dog insists, rake your own, check for sharp debris, and watch for mold or parasites. Congress has the chance to end greyhound racing for good. The Greyhound Protection Act (H.R. 5017) would finally ban all betting on this cruel sport and stop the suffering of thousands of dogs still exploited for profit.   Tell Congress: Sign the petition to ban greyhound racing once and for all. Bobbing for apples isn't just for humans—it's a fun sensory activity for dogs, too! Be sure to cut the apple into bite-sized chunks for your pup, and not to give them too many pieces to prevent tummy trouble.    What To Do: Fill a bowl with a few inches of water, then add a few pieces of apple and let your dog have fun fishing them out!
