Over 90% of the fish we eat is imported. That's a big problem, because some of these countries turn a blind eye to things like overfishing and excessive bycatch. So check the Country of Origin labels at the supermarket and ask your server at the restaurant about the origins of the fish they serve. Or simply check the traceability label on Sea to Table's packaging, which tells you the exact species, the Port of Landing, and often even the name of the fishing vessel that landed it! |
